Seeking Inspiration?

We know that feeling - you need some fresh ideas to put together that amazing next train trip. But where do you start? How do you make the transition from armchair traveller to someone on a mission? The answer is simple, follow in the path of other travellers who can both give you confidence and inspire you with what can be possible.

One of the main purposes of our Club is to share the adventures of our members. We want to showcase the amazing journeys and inspire others to try life on the rails, no matter how big or small!

We have launched our website with featured blogs from four travellers who have made major rail trips and made the effort to share their adventures with anyone who cares to follow their amazing journeys:

Toads Travel Adventures is Matthew's account of two Trans-Siberian journeys from the U.K. as far as Singapore and Shanghai. He is just about to embark on his third journey, this time to Tokyo by train. It is a great slice of what real life is like on the rails and packed with insight and detail of how to stay one step ahead whilst having some fun.

The Forbidden Railway is an account of a 2008 trip by Helmut and Oliver, a couple of slightly crazy Germans who decide to travel from Vienna to North Korea by train. They make a difficult journey possible through careful planning and some crafty tactics!

09.35 London to Sydney is an account by Peter and his 2011 meander by train through Europe, Asia and ultimately "down under". It is full of rich descriptions of the people and places as well as the physical journey by train.

Riding Rails is Jeff's 2011 personal account of four months travelling (as much as possible) around the world by train. He manages to recreate the pace of travel as well as a sense of place in each of his destinations.

We hope you find each of these stories of interest, entertainment and inspiration. Let's hope that we can feature your travel blog soon!

Where are you going on your next adventure?

Join Our Club!

Thank you for visiting our website. By the fact you are here, you probably have an interest in train travel, and possibly seek long distance rail adventure. We hope so, as it is what we are passionate about! We created the Trans-Siberian Travellers Club because whilst there is lots of train travel advice online, most of it comes from places that are mainly just interested in selling you tickets (with a few notable exceptions). More importantly there are very few places where you can actually interact with people who have first hand experience of your route and can help with advice and suggestions to make your adventure an epic one. Our forum is therefore at the heart of our Club. It's the meeting place where adventures begin!

So join us today! Our Club is open to everyone who shares the passion for train travel, not just across Siberia, but on every continent. We are a new club, and keen to get active members in our first year as our position as the the leading place to discuss serious train travel unfolds.

Joining is simple - just register in our forum. Joining is currently free and we have several grades of membership recognising that our club is relevant to everyone with our passion from first time travellers through to full on rail explorers. Once you are part of the Club you will have access to the knowledge of our community as well as a range of train travel resources.

We look forward to meeting you in our forum!

Welcome to a new club and online community for those who love rail adventure as much as we do. We realised that whilst there are many good sources of "hard" information out there, there seemed to be no meeting place where adventurers could get together to share their experiences. We plan to feature the very best train blogs from our members and help inspire our community to plan their next adventure. The Trans-Siberian Travellers Club is in fact a hub for rail travel around the world, so do share your experiences from wherever you have first hand experience!

Please do join us - we are a new community, and hopefully will will soon be a large one. Membership is free to travellers who join us at this stage, simply by registering in our forum. We are welcome those with significant experience (who may be eligible for Fellowship), as well as those needing help plan their first ever rail adventure.

Good luck & we hope to hear from you!
